9. Susan Brown--

I have enjoyed viewing each of your blogs, and have been inspired to explore more creative ways of crafting!

Well, as stated in my previous post, I ended up "scrapping" 3 other projects, before finding just one that I was happy with, so that being said, I have to add that although it is not what one might consider a "traditional" Christmeas piece, it is very personal to me.

This Christmas for the very first time in my life, I am living thousands of miles away from what I always called home, now aside for the obvious that I will miss the most, MY FAMILY, there is just one thing that I love to see at Christmas time, and that is snow, Yep I said it, snow. This year with the expensive move across country depleting our funds, getting "home" for the holidays is quite unlikely, the other thing that is unlikely? Snow in here in Tampa, lol, so without further adu' here is is, my Christmas wish, "Let It Snow".

I used a12x12 stretched canvas as the base, several Canvas Corp pieces, and many other accessories, the best accessories of all, my Want 2 Scrap Bling, they were absolutely perfect for my snowy Christmas theme!

Thank You Angie Holt for this opportunity, and Thank You Want 2 Scrap!

Ugh, Artistic Block Sucks!

So, here it is......I consider myself an artist. An artist in many mediums; canvas, jewelry, mixed media art and so on. And with that comes the dreaded "ARTIST BLOCK". I am sharing this because I had decided to enter into my very first "blog hop", and after viewing other blogs of those also doing the "hop" (and I forgot to mention it is a holiday blog hop) I realized that all I really had going for my was my imagination, I don't have alot of fancy machines and things, I do however have lots of ink, and ink accessories, paint embellishments paper and so on and so on.
Fast forward past the first 3 failed projects, and I think think, ,maybe, just maybe the fourth one could be a strong contender, lol, at this very moment, still waiting for glue to dry and ink....

I had lost all confidence until I realized that I do have imagination and talent. While the following is something I did a year or two ago, with postcards from our vacation in Key West, and found seashells, scrapbook paper, tissue paper, I made art for our walls, so as a teaser for my yet to dry Holiday Blog Hop project, here my first "scrapbook memory" wall art. Be back this evening with the finished holiday project...

God's Mercy and Grace

In times such as these, with natural disaster's befalling the earth, it can be so hard to see God's mercy and grace in this life. My heart is burdened for those that are suffering loss and tragedy from the devestation of "Superstorm Sandy", and yet I am full aware that this is God's attempt to awaken people who are sleeping spiritually.
People who have not acknwledged the warnings of a time drwing close to an end on this earth. A time when good is confused for evil and evil for good. This is a time to draw close to our creator, time to fall upon our faces and cry out for a world that is dying in sin.
I myself must confess, that diligence has not been a top priority. Instead, I have gotten lost in myself, and "issues" that I have been facing. I can not hear the cries of the lost and the hurt if I am caught up in me, I have to change.
It is a time to be earnest with God, to break free of ALL things holding us back from our destiny in Him. And I am going to give it my very best effort, to make the change in me.

God be merciful, bring comfort to the hurt and downtrodden, may we all see You in this tragedy, may we be reminded of the sacrifice YOU have already made for us, that You are a loving God, and all that is required of us is to repent of our sins, and confess that Jesus is Lord of all.

Psalm 107:13~"LORD, help!" they cried in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress.

Got To Get My Crafting On

Seriously, really need to get my bliss back. I have spent the last month trying to get settled into our new place in Florida, that my crafting has taken a back seat. Not anymore, it's time to get back in the driver's seat.

Just not sure where to begin, so hear are a few of my past projects of creativity, that has helped to "re"inspire me.

And as you can see, when I get my "craftin' on", ya never know what I am gonna do!
Be blessed everyone!

Getting Things In Order

Things have been so crazy the last couple of months. Moved across the country, from north to south, without most of my furniture. Have been through the process of looking effortlessly for dining furniture, living room furniture, husband starting his new job, unpacking, so on, so on and so forth, PURE MADNESS!
And in all of the madness, we managed to spend a few days at the beach, and I have finally got my crafting den in order, for the most part at least, even have managed to be a little creative.

But still sooo much to do, and seems like little time to get it done, anyways here's a glimpse of my haven of serenity!

And so now I must get my craftin' going cause the holidays are coming up fast! Y'all be blessed!

How long will peoples lies and deceptions stand? How long will they do so in God's name?
I thought that the drama would be over, moving thousands of miles away, to my paradise here in earth, and yet I still have to deal with the lies, that are now being launched at my aging parents, and watching as their own son's are siding up with those who are escalating the deception.
God I know Your word tells us to pray for those who spitefully use us. Yet I am at a place of unfamiliarity, especially within my family.
All I can do is ask for strength to withstand in this evil day, to turn the other cheek. Place a hedge if protection around my parents, and my nieces and nephews, the devil has no place, power or authority in their lives. And I bind the lying, deceptive and controlling spirits at play, and may the ones using Your Great Name and graces in vain, be brought to their knees in pure repentance for their lies and deceptions, for trying to cause division, and chaos at every turn. In the mighty name Of Jesus I proclaim  victory over the enemy, every chain is broken and the captives are set free!!!

Life's a Beach......or soon will be

Life has been anything but that in the last few months. With ups and downs and back and forths, it's been more like living on a turbulent ocean. Yet God had a plan all along. And while it is so very hard to grasp the very levity of this new season I am getting ready to embark on, I have complete confidence that God has my back. Moving thousands of miles from all that I have know, and all those that I love so very much, there is a heavenly reason for this season of change. I am excited, overwhelmed, and yes at times extremely emotional. But it is time to cast our sail and see what this journey has in store for us.
